SUBSTANCE: method involves examining patient by recording computer cardiointervalogram during 20 min or longer. Data processing and analysis of stress-index data, shared contribution into proper cardiac pacemaker activity regulation, spectral power of II order waves, shared contribution into cardiac rhythm regulation of vasomotor brainstem center, spectral power of III order waves, shared contribution into cardiac rhythm regulation of hypothalamic level, spectral power of IV order waves, shared contribution into cardiac rhythm regulation of ULF bandwidth waves. Brain death being the case, the values are: stress-index=3790±100 conditional units, shared contribution into proper cardiac pacemaker activity regulation = 76±20% HF, spectral power of II order waves =0.09±0.01 ms2, shared contribution into cardiac rhythm regulation of vasomotor brainstem center=0.4±0.1% LF, spectral power of III order waves =0.05±0.01 ms2, shared contribution into cardiac rhythm regulation of hypothalamic level=0.23±0.01% VLF, spectral power of IV order waves =5.1±1.0 ms2, shared contribution into cardiac rhythm regulation of ULF bandwidth waves=22±1.0%.

EFFECT: enhanced effectiveness in determining brain death by means of electrocardiograph.
