FIELD: medicine, surgery.
SUBSTANCE: the present innovation deals with prosthetics of anterior abdominal wall in case of inguinal and femoral hernias. Operation should be fulfilled out of preperitoneal access. One should spread a prolene implant at posterior surface of anterior abdominal wall to fix towards transverse fascia along the perimeter; free edge of the implant should be turned under the upper edge of surgical wound to be fixed towards internal oblique and transverse muscles. The innovation enables to decrease the risk of hernial relapse.
EFFECT: higher efficiency of prosthetics.
