SUBSTANCE: the rotor of the polar electrostatic gyroscope of the ship-based navigation system is oriented to the position when its visible motion is minimum, i.e. the motion of the rotor in the absolute coordinate system caused by drift moments, and the transport motion due to the earth rotation would be equal and opposite by design.
EFFECT: enhanced precision of generation of the parameters of the navigation system constructed on electrostatic gyroscopes.
