FIELD: measurement equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of gyroscopic systems and may be used for detection of azimuthal position of a platform of a triaxial gyrostabiliser, for instance, in high-precision of navigation systems of different purpose. The proposed method consists in the fact that the body of one gyroblocks, the vector of the kinematic moment of which is directed approximately to the west or east, rotated relative to the platform of the triaxial gyrostabiliser in the azimuth after rotation of the gyroscope towards the meridian. The rotation of the body is carried out with a tracking system made of a step motor, to the inlet of which pulses arrive, with repetition rate proportionate to a signal removed from the sensor of the gyroblock angle. The azimuth of the platform of the triaxial gyrostabiliser is determined by processing of information about the angle of rotation of the gyroblock body, which is proportionate to the number of pulses at the inlet of the step motor.
