FIELD: operating the aircraft engines at limited operating time.
SUBSTANCE: proposed method makes it possible to increase operating time of engine at permissible fault rate of engine component having minimum durability as compared with all components of engine which are not changeable during operation. Proposed method includes limitation of engine operating time in accordance with specified fault rate for engines of this modification. Actual total fault rate of engine component is estimated after each flight according to the parameters recorded during each flight, conditions of flight and operating time of engine in all modes of operation. Possibility of further operation of specific engine is determined by difference between actual total fault rate of component of this engine and preset tolerable fault rate of component of engines of this modification.
EFFECT: enhanced efficiency and reliability of method.
