FIELD: engineering of scanning devices, possible use for building an image of underlying surface from onboard the spacecraft simultaneously in several zones of optical radiation spectrum.

SUBSTANCE: multi-spectral scanning device, which contains serially connected control block, information transfer block and serially positioned optical system and photo-transformers matrix, consisting of N rows of photo-transformers, where orientation of each row of photo-transformers coincides with orientation of input slit and is perpendicular to flight direction of device carrier, additionally comprises N keys, variable magnification zoom lens, variable magnification zoom lens motor, motor of optical system with alternating focal distance, where output of photo-transformer matrix line number i is connected simultaneously to input of key number i, input of key number i is connected to input number i of information transmission block, and output of control block is connected to control input of each key directly, to input for controlling focal distance of variable magnification zoom lens through variable magnification zoom lens motor and to input for controlling focal distance of optical system with variable focal distance through motor of optical system with variable focal distance

EFFECT: increased efficiency of solution of double purpose, namely, research of Earth resources and surveillance of man-made objects by means of one device.
