FIELD: cable industry; flexible cable design.
SUBSTANCE: proposed control cable that can be used indoors, outdoors, in ducts and tunnels for remote control of actuating mechanisms to transfer electric signals has stranded current-carrying conductors covered with insulation, twisted into pairs, and disposed under shielding sheath and common screen (if any) with screen in the form of braid or wound wire placed overall. Free space under sheath, under screen of twisted pairs, under insulation of current-carrying conductors, and between current-carrying conductor strands is filled with sealing compound; sealing compound under sheath and under screen of twisted pairs has higher viscosity than that under insulation of current-carrying conductors and between conductor strands.
EFFECT: enhanced high-frequency characteristics at reliable sealing and desired mechanical strength of cable.
