FIELD: pressure welding, for example in rail welding plants.
SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of mechanically working ends of joined parts, abutting them and heating butt till welding temperature, namely heating butt till temperature (Ac3 +300)°C - (Ac3+ 400)°C; soaking it at such temperature for providing austenization of butt zone; after upsetting, cooling butt by means of air-water mixture till temperature Мн°C - (Мн + 400)°С then air cooling of it till temperature of environment. Such welded joints of parts have no fins and they feature mechanical properties similar to those of base metal.
EFFECT: enhanced reliability and safety of railway roads with welded joints according to invention, increased useful life period of welded rails.
