FIELD: technological processes.

SUBSTANCE: after mechanical processing of pipe ends and their fixation by means of clamping elements, compression is realised in the area of joint with further heating of joint area to the temperature of 0.7-0.95 of temperature of pipe metal melting by inductor shaped as pipe shape. Inductor is placed between clamping elements and is installed with gap of 3-20 mm relative to pipe contour. On completion of welding process joint area is cooled to 200-400°C, and additional heating of joint area is done by the same inductor to obtain temperature of steel normalisation, which will make it possible to remove internal stress and exclude provision of cracks.

EFFECT: simplification and acceleration of welding process, elimination of burr production, metal saving, increased service life of pipelines and environmental safety.
