FIELD: diagnostics of high voltage switches in power engineering, namely, method for diagnostics of power circuits with bridging resistances in contact system of each pole of high voltage switch and device for its realization without opening the switch tank.

SUBSTANCE: device contains constant voltage supply, active resistance meter, block of three identical precision active resistances, four-strand cable with phase coloring. Active resistance meter is made in form of digital recorder and has an analog-digital converter, computing block, launch block, energy-independent memory, liquid-crystalline display and port for coupling with a personal computer, and also three-channel block of voltage sensors, voltage channels of which are connected respectively to first contacts of active resistance block and also, respectively, to second contacts of high voltage switch by means of first three strands of four-strand cable, and common contact of voltage sensor block is simultaneously connected to combined second contacts of precision active resistance block and to second clamp of constant voltage source, first clamp of which is connected to first contacts of high voltage switch by means of fourth strand of four-strand cable, where values of each precision active resistance are selected to be close to and/or equal to the total of bridging resistances of each switch pole.

EFFECT: possible detection of serviceability of bridging resistances without opening the tank of high voltage switch, without computing time difference of operation of contact system of all phases, and also without determining the character and time of contact chatter.
