FIELD: passive radiolocation.
SUBSTANCE: in accordance to the invention, radio signal is received by two-channel receiving route, frequency of received signal is measured, in one of receiving route channels, artificial Doppler frequency shift is created due to rotation of antenna in horizontal plane with constant angular speed, extremes of Doppler frequency shift are singled out as functions of angular position of rotating antenna, angular distances are measured between direction taken as computing origin of rotation angle of rotating antenna, and directions which correspond to extremes of Doppler frequency shift and on basis of resulting values position of radio radiation source is determined from formulae: azimuth distance where r≤0,5λ - radius of rotation circle of antenna providing for artificial Doppler shift of frequency of the signal being received; λ - wave length of the signal being received; α1, α2 - measured angular distances between direction taken as computing origin of rotation angle of rotating antenna, and directions which match extremes of Doppler frequency shift.
EFFECT: less time needed to determine position of a radio radiation source in short-distance zone, possible detection of location of more than one radio radiation source.
