FIELD: electrical engineering; linear-movement drives.
SUBSTANCE: proposed electric motor has primary part assembled of set of annular cores disposed on its longitudinal axis and mounted within motor frame. Each core mounts multiphase-winding coils. Primary-part core number equals phase number. Electric motor also has secondary part disposed coaxially within primary part. Secondary part is made in the form of concentric spheres arranged in tandem and coupled together by means of connector passed through spheres over secondary-part longitudinal axis. Each sphere has two shells, external and internal ones. External shell has alternating layers of electrical conductor and insulator. Internal shell is essentially secondary-part magnetic circuit made of magnetic material.
EFFECT: enhanced power factor attained by raising total secondary current and reducing loss in primary and secondary parts; reduced size and mass.
