FIELD: method for removing iron scale from metallic sheets after manufacturing it.

SUBSTANCE: method for removing scale containing layer of wustite bonded to main metallic substrate of metallic sheet; layer of magnetite bonded to layer of wustite and layer of hematite bonded to layer of magnetite is realized with use of machine for trimming surface having at least one surface-trimming working organ; trimming surface of sheet by means of such machine working organ in such a way that to remove practically completely from said surface layers of magnetite and hematite and to remove non-completely layer of wustite in order to provide partial bonding of wustite layer with main metallic substrate of sheet. In other variant of invention only part of iron scale is removed from surface of sheet in order to provide bonding of scale layer with main metallic substrate of sheet produced after manufacturing process while reducing arithmetical mean of spacing values between protrusions and recesses of surface measured from mean line of profile till values less than 50 micro-inches ( 1.27 micrometers). In other variant rotary trimming working organ includes practically cylindrical trimming surface used for trimming sheet surface at least with use of one working organ driven to engagement with trimmed surface.

EFFECT: restriction of sheet oxidation due to partial removal of all composition layers of magnetite and hematite for providing less quantity of free iron taking part in creation of red-rust type oxide, improved operational reliability, safety, lowered cost of method.
