FIELD: transport engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to devices increasing cross-country capacity of vehicle. Proposed removable track unit is mounted on hub of vehicle wheel and it contains track enclosing road wheels, idlers and/or track rollers secured on skeleton, at least one gear or pin drive wheel arranged on shaft and member coupling removable track unit with vehicle suspension. According to first design version, to compensate for vertical components of moments form track acting onto antifriction bearings of vehicle wheel hub, member for coupling with suspension is installed in prestressed state and is intercoupled with shaft of gear or pin wheel from side of end face opposite to wheel hub. According to second design version, to compensate for vertical components of moments from track acting onto wheel antifriction bearings, member for coupling with suspension or steering wheel turning device is installed in prestressed state and is coupled with shaft of gear or pin wheel from side of its end face opposite to wheel hub. To compensate for horizontal and angular components of moments acting onto wheel hub antifriction bearings, removal be track unit is furnished with additional coupling member interacting with vehicle wheel suspension or with its turning device and with shaft of gear or pin drive wheel of removable track unit form side of its end face opposite to wheel hub.
EFFECT: increased cross-country capacity of vehicle, possibility of mounting track unit onto vehicle with independent and conventional suspensions instead of steerable or nonsteerable wheels without modification of vehicle design members.
