FIELD: rocket fuels.
SUBSTANCE: invention proposes a method for preparing gel-like rocket monofuel that involves dispersing aluminum to particles size 0.15 micron, its addition to liquid oxidizing agent N2O4 followed by stirring a mixture prepared. In this method N2O4 is used in the amount sufficient for formation of N2O4 layer on surface of aluminum particles with thickness 0.06 micron providing the complete combustion of aluminum. Rocket monofuel prepared by this method shows the specific impulse close to 400 s.
EFFECT: improved and valuable properties of monofuel, improved preparing method.
