FIELD: designs of diaphragm electrolyzers.
SUBSTANCE: electrolyzer includes lower module with anodes and cathodes and at least one put onto it upper module with anodes and cathodes. At least said one upper module has anode space directly communicated through fluid with anode space of said lower module. At least one of said modules has practically U-shaped anodes having two vertical main surfaces secured to first horizontal electric current collector. Additional copper current collectors with titanium lining are secured outside at least to one of said vertical main surfaces. In empty space inside said main vertical surfaces of anodes diaphragm-coated cathodes are housed.
EFFECT: increased active surface area of module for surface area of mounting electrolyzer.
