FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a cathode for diaphragm electrolysers, in particular - for usage in diaphragm electrolysers for production of chlorine and alkali; the cathode is limited by a electrically conductive perforated surface and has an inner space containing two elements, one superimposed on the other, intended to improve distribution of liquid and electric current.
EFFECT: enhanced degree of electrolyte stirring and increased efficiency of electrolysis current, combined with reduced energy consumption, represent the technical effect of the invention.
