FIELD: investigating or analyzing of materials.

SUBSTANCE: method comprises breaking down the specimen with the use of a rod. The substrate provided with the hole is set in the matrix and is locked by a lid with opening. The matrix opening receives the rod with the collar so that the surface of the collar of the rod and the substrate are in a single plane. The edge of the lid is provided with foil, and the surface of the substrate and the collar is provided with a coating whose height is equal to the thickness of the lid. The projection of the substrate should not exceed the thickness of the coating.
