FIELD: wireless communications, namely, external loop of power control system in mobile communication system with cell infrastructure.
SUBSTANCE: external loop of power control system providers for setting of required target signal to interference ratio (SIRtgt) at various conditions of signal expansion through communication channel, characterized by stochastic models. Claimed method is based on application of Newton-Raphson iteration method for digital approximations of different functions of communication interruption probability under various expansion conditions. After setting the aforementioned probability and receiving dynamic estimation of second order characteristics of each statistic value being examined, acceptable value is produced, which exceeds median SIR value and, thus, SIRtgt value which corresponds to aforementioned probability of communication interruption.
EFFECT: fulfilled given service quality requirements (QoS requirements) at minimal power level required.
