SUBSTANCE: in accordance to the invention, communication network contains at least one network management system and a set of network components, where management data is exchanged between at least one network management system and at least one network component. For operation of network having at least one network management system (NMS) and a set of network components (NE1, NE2, NE3, EM) of communication network (KN), management data (MD) is exchanged between at least one network management system (NMS) and at least one of network components (NE1, NE2, NE3, EM) through communication infrastructure (WSIS) provided by Web-service (WS). Thus, open interfaces are created between network components (NE1, NE2, NE3, EM) and at least one network management system (NMS), which allow flexibly expandable, reliable, and also manufacturer-independent management of a communication network, which also has, among other things, different network management systems (NMS).
EFFECT: expanded functional capabilities, increased reliability of communication.
