FIELD: vacuum cleaner for wet cleaning by drawing of contaminated air through brush provided with cloth for removal of dust and contaminants and simultaneously wiping surface to be cleaned by means of brush with wet cloth.

SUBSTANCE: brush has body with air inlet opening and fan mounted within brush body for rotation by drawn air. Rotating shafts at both sides of fan are equipped with first and second screw drives. First and second screw wheels mounted within brush body are designed for cooperation with said drives. On lower end of first and second screw wheels are positioned first and second pin-shaped eccentric cams which are spaced from centers of rotation of screw wheels. First and second panels for wet cloth are separately positioned on body, said panels being provided with elongated cam slots adapted for receiving of at least one of first and second cams, and guiding projection provided at one side of cam slot and inserted into elongated guiding slot extending perpendicular to cam slot within brush body. First and second panels for wet cloth reciprocate between converging position wherein said panels converge in the vicinity of central part of brush body, and diverging position wherein said panels diverge away from converging position.

EFFECT: reduced vibration and noise during operation of vacuum cleaner with brush and provision for controlling operation of brush.
