FIELD: technique used for simultaneous cutting of auto-tire casings along a number of cutting lines, and parts of casings, such as carcass-breaker-tread casing bracelet manufactured from material comprising set of rubber layers reinforced with textile and metal cord.
SUBSTANCE: apparatus for simultaneous cutting along a number of cutting lines of reinforced composite material, such as casing with metal cord, has metal cylinder formed as roller with slots, and disk-type metal blades arranged in accordance with arrangement of slots. Blades have thickness exceeding width of slots in cylinder. Cylinder has bores between slots, with shape of bore surfaces approximating to shape of surface of hyperboloid of revolution of one sheet. Maximum depth of bores is selected from ratio: h≥0.25√3(x2-a2), where h is depth of bore; x is distance between cutting edges of adjacent blades; a is distance between nearest surfaces of adjacent slots. Apparatus of such construction enables simultaneous cutting along a number of cutting lines of compound rubber composite material having heterogeneous structure and filament reinforcing components, including metal components.
EFFECT: increased efficiency and enhanced reliability in operation.
