FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to equipment intended for cutting automotive tires along simultaneously to in several cutting lines, e.g. carcass-breaker-tread band that includes several rubber layers reinforced by textile and metal cord. Proposed device comprises metal cylinder with two narrow recesses, one wide annular groove and cutting sharpened metal discs arranged to mate with said narrow recesses. Tension roller with smooth or rough blunt surfaces is arranged opposite wide annular groove in said cylinder, right at the center between said discs. Tension roller OD is equal to or some 5-10 mm larger than diameters of disc cutting edge. Wide annular groove depth is equal to or larger than recess depth.
EFFECT: higher quality of cutting automotive tires along simultaneously to in several cutting lines, eg carcass-breaker-treads irrespective of their thickness and spacing between cutting discs.
