FIELD: electrical engineering; materials handling facilities.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for gripping and holding ferromagnetic materials. According to proposed method, electromagnet is disassembled, its coil is taken out, housing space is cleaned and new coil is made and then electromagnet is assembled including mounting of coil in housing space and filling space with potting compound. Coil is made of three parts. Two parts are arranged along poles and are made of copper. Third part is arranged in central part of space and is made of large-size aluminum wire.
EFFECT: improved thermal conditions.
