FIELD: chemical technology.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to technology for synthesis of fragrant substances and can be used in synthesis of linalool (3,7-dimethyl-2,6-octadiene-3-ol) boron esters. Invention describes a method for synthesis of linalool (3,7-dimethyl-1,6-octadiene-3-ol) boron esters involving the esterification reaction of boric acid with low-molecular alcohol and the following alcoholysis reaction with linalool. The esterification reaction of boric acid with low-molecular alcohol and the alcoholysis reaction of synthesized low-molecular boron ester with linalool are carried out simultaneously in the rectification device. The alcoholysis reaction of low-molecular alcohol boron ester with linalool is carried out in the still followed by distillation of low-molecular alcohol, and the esterification reaction of boric acid with low-molecular alcohol is carried out into the column to obtain low-molecular alcohol boron ester that is fed into the still as phlegm. Method provides a single-step of the process, reducing time for its carrying out and decreasing amount of low-molecular alcohol used per one cycle in synthesis of linalool boron esters.
