SUBSTANCE: beating plank of scutching drum has main front edge, rear edge and additional edge, said edges being adapted for cooperation with material under treatment process. Additional edge is positioned between main front edge and rear edge of beater and protrudes beyond path of movement of these edges by value variable lengthwise of drum.
EFFECT: increased efficiency in yarn elongation and differentiation of scotching process lengthwise of drum.
