FIELD: mechanical engineering; four-stroke internal combustion engines.

SUBSTANCE: proposed four-stroke internal combustion engine has crankcase, cylinder with ring-shaped space, crankshaft with two eccentrics, pistons, connecting rods, cylinder head and timing gear. Cylinder with ring space and reed valve in intake channel is mounted on crankcase. Crankshaft is connected by main connecting rod with working pistons, and additional connected rods are installed on eccentrics of crankshaft being coupled with ring-shaped scavenging piston. Intake channel of cylinder head is connected by channel with space formed by ring-shaped space of cylinder and ring-shaped scavenging piston.

EFFECT: increased power output and efficiency, improved operating reliability, reduced harmful effect on environment.
