FIELD: method for diameter of thin extensive threads.
SUBSTANCE: method for measuring diameter of thin extensive threads includes lighting threads by a light source, receiving diffraction image of threads by registering intensity of extreme points of diffraction pattern and its following processing with computation of thread diameter. Receipt of diffraction image of threads is performed by registering intensity of extreme points of diffraction pattern, with appears as a result of interference of passing wave of light with diffracted wave, corresponding to Fraunhofer diffraction. Processing of diffraction image is performed by finding the contrast of diffraction pattern with computation of diameter from formula where ΔI - diffraction pattern contrast, λ - length of light wave of used lighting source, L - distance from light source to photo-receiver, s - distance between main maximums of diffraction pattern. Lighting of object is performed using point monochromatic light source. Lighting of object is performed using extensive quasi-monochromatic light source.
EFFECT: increased precision of measurement in the method, in particular concerning measurement of ultra-thin threads with simultaneously simplified realization of method under plant conditions.
