FIELD: testing engineering.
SUBSTANCE: method comprises setting electrostatic aerial downstream of the nozzle exit out of the engine and its jet. The aerial records the electrostatic field generated by the particles (electrons, ions, micro-particles) in the jet. The condition of the engine is determined from a statistical analysis of the recorded fluctuations of the electrostatic radiation of the ions, electrons, and charged micro-particles.
EFFECT: enhanced reliability.
