FIELD: control and protection systems of nuclear power reactors.
SUBSTANCE: proposed device for controlling nuclear-reactor actuating mechanism has n monitoring and control units, where n is number of reactor control-element groups (for instance, ten ones adopted for VVER-1000 reactor), group control switch, voltage supply, automatic reactor-power regulator, pressure sensor, neutron flux detector, diode, first and second input terminals, first and second controllable switches. Newly introduced in device are group selection switch, NOT gate, and AND gate.
EFFECT: enlarged functional capabilities of control device due to capability of using reactor power regulator for controlling actuating mechanisms.
