FIELD: control and protection systems for nuclear power reactors.
SUBSTANCE: proposed control device for nuclear-reactor actuating mechanism has n monitoring and control units, where n is number of reactor regulating-element groups (for instance, ten ones are assigned for VVER-1000 reactor), group control switch, and voltage supply. Newly introduced in each of n monitoring and control units are OR gate, first, second, and third controllable switches, each being provided with two control inputs, fourth, fifth, and sixth controllable switches, each having one control input.
EFFECT: reduced number of reactor regulating elements moved on operator's command which enhances safety of reactor operation.
