FIELD: automatic control of nuclear reactor power.
SUBSTANCE: proposed method involves generation of HIGHER or LOWER control signals by control device for group of actuating mechanisms coupled with reactor control elements. In the process position of reactor control elements is continuously varied. Applying HIGHER control signal inhibits passage of HIGHER signal to actuating mechanisms coupled with control elements run away from control element occupying minimal position through height in too long direction; in case of more than three such actuating mechanisms inhibit signal is generated for three actuating mechanisms only. When LOWER control signal is applied, inhibit signal is generated for LOWER signal passage to actuating mechanisms coupled with control elements run away in motion direction longer than admissible value from control element occupying maximal position through height; in case of more than two such actuating mechanisms inhibit signal is generated for two actuating mechanisms only. In this case inhibit signal for HIGHER signal passage to all actuating mechanisms is cancelled. In absence of HIGHER and LOWER signals inhibit signals for passage of HIGHER and LOWER signals to all actuating mechanisms are cancelled.
EFFECT: enhanced operating reliability of nuclear reactor.
