SUBSTANCE: proposed method involves steps at which input junction point for present-time connection sends message requesting change of junction-to-junction connection in direction of present-time connection traffic signal transmission starting from input junction point up to output one for present-timer connection. Transition between fixed and switchable connections is made in present-time junction points upon reception of message requesting change of connection. Sequential junction-to-junction transfer under wiring conditions in optical network ensures gradual transition between fixed and switchable connections effectively preventing service interruption.

EFFECT: enhanced flexibility of network services.
