METHOD FOR PRODUCTION OF RADIAL LUMBERS Russian patent published in 2007 - IPC B27B1/00 

FIELD: woodworking industry, in particular, production of lumbers.

SUBSTANCE: the method consists in classifying of lumbers according to the diameters, disbarking, forming of the lumber section to a hexagon, sawing of the hexagon into two parts of a tetragonal section, classifying and piling of the parts, drying, treatment of the tetragonal-section parts at the lateral edges, cementing together by the parts to a block and sawing of the block to lumbers. At sawing-out of a hexagonal-section blank from a lumber the planes of two apposite saw cuts are oriented in parallel with the log axis, the rest four saw cuts are oriented in parallel with the log taper, after that the hexagon a sawed into two similar parts, the plane of the saw cut is oriented in the log axis and in parallel with the planes of the two first saw cuts. Then, after drying the lateral edges of the parts are milled in the taper, after that the milled parts are cemented together by the inclined surfaces of the edges, the cemented parts are laid in a block, changing by turns the crown and butt ends.

EFFECT: enhanced yield of radial lumbers, reduced labour content.
