FIELD: power engineering.
SUBSTANCE: proposed underground power generating complex complex contains combustion chamber consisting of two spaces, being filled with water and coal being combusted in furnace space, ash removal system, and turboelectric generator set, all arranged in mine working mated with ventilation connection accommodating heat exchange device. Lower space of chamber contains device for decomposition of mine water into oxygen and hydrogen by electrolysis, and mine working passes along bed of coal to be combusted. Coal from face is ground and delivered into upper zone of combustion chamber. Hydrogen will be intensively liberated at decomposition of water in combustion chamber into oxygen and hydrogen by electrolysis. Hydrogen librated from water gets into zone of combustion and burns together with coal. Temperature of gas-vapour agent rises owing to high calorific power of hydrogen burning in zone of combustion.
EFFECT: increased efficiency of plant at combustion of coal and profitableness of underground colliery.
