FIELD: measuring technique.

SUBSTANCE: method comprises measuring the rate of sediment formation by means of a balance made on the basis of a quartz crystal and provided with the top side having electrode that is in a contact with the fluid and bottom side insulated from the fluid. The pH of the fluid near the balance is maintained from about 1 to 14 by passing cathode or anode current through the electrode.
