FIELD: instrument engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for heating a liquid, in particular water, to a heating device using such a method, and also to an electronic device containing such a heating device. Method of heating a liquid in a heater, comprising a heating element and a counter electrode, method comprising heating the liquid in the heater by heating the heating element to a temperature in the range of 120-250°C and applying an AC potential difference between the heating element and the counter electrode, wherein the AC potential difference varies with the frequency of the alternating current in the range 200-2,500 Hz and has an amplitude in the range of 1-5 V and the liquid flows in the heater between the heating element and the counter electrode.
EFFECT: this makes it possible to prevent or reduce the formation of scale on heating elements such as a heating wall or immersion heater and / or to provide decalcification of the calcined surfaces of the heating elements.
