FIELD: nuclear engineering; decontaminating various surfaces in radiochemical industry and in other fields of national economy where solid deposit crushing and surface cleaning are required.
SUBSTANCE: proposed device for disrupting highly radioactive sludge deposits in storage tanks has housing and barrel joined to the latter and incorporating nozzle and starting region. The latter accommodates control piston, central moving rod rigidly fixed with control piston coupled with valve, as well as piston installed for sliding over central moving rod. This differential piston has its small-diameter part disposed within barrel.
EFFECT: greatly reduced consumption of liquid and gas which become radioactive and want special handling; reduced requirement of chemical agents.
