FIELD: pharmaceutical industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention provides pharmaceutical composition containing a naturally occurring cannabinoid, in particular Δ9-tetrahydrocannabinol, and glass of sugar, saccharic alcohol, saccharide mixture, or mixture of saccharic alcohols, characterized by that natural cannabinoid compound is incorporated in sugar glass by means of monomolecular encapsulation without formation of guest-host complex. This composition is prepared using freeze drying, spray drying, vacuum drying, or critical drying of stable mixture containing natural cannabinoid compound and sugar or saccharide mixture.
EFFECT: lowered vitrification temperature of sugars, prevented vitrification of cannabinoid compound, and increased dissolution rate thereof.
