FIELD: methods for plastic working of metals, namely production of tubes by drawing, possibly manufacture of precision capillary tubes used in nuclear industry.
SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of mandrel-free drawing of tube blank at least for two passes at elongation factor equal to 1.4 - 3.0; drawing tube on long mandrel at elongation factor 1.2 - 2.4; then working tube with mandrel by means of rolling bodies and performing mandrel free drawing of tube at elongation factor 1.2 - 1.7.
EFFECT: enhanced accuracy and stability of tube diameter and wall thickness dimensions, similar improved quality of inner and outer surfaces of tube, less loss of yield.
