FIELD: mechanical engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to means of silencing aerodynamic noises of pneumatic equipment and exhaust systems of compressed gas or air. Proposed noise silencer has conical cup made of porous material-foamed aluminum, inner cylindrical bushing coaxial with cup, inlet branch pipe made in form of cover square to which bushing is rigidly attached. Cup is installed with bottom upwards, in contact through its larger base with branch pipe. Other end of bushing is rigidly connected with bottom of cup by screw. Calibrated holes, diameter d are made in bushing, whose axes are square to axis of bushing. Ratio of height A of cup to diameter D of inlet hole of branch pipe is within A/D=5.5-9.5. Ratio d/D=0.2-0.7. Ratio of thickness b of cup to its height A is within b/A=0.05-0.1.

EFFECT: improved efficiency of noise silencing.
