FIELD: mechanical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to devices designed for suppression of aerodynamic noises of pneumatic equipment and exhaust systems of compressed gas or air. Proposed noise silencer contains intake branch pipe and housing made of porous material and rigidly connected with intake branch pipe. Housing has base made in form of cup with bead in its upper part. At least two members made of porous material engage with said bead. Porous material members are made in form of cylindrical outer and inner bushings whose upper bases are connected with cover provided with bead for locking the bushings and are rigidly connected with base of cylindrical cup by threaded stud arranged coaxially to cup, bushings and cover and provided with washers and nuts on ends. Ratio of height of housing (A=C) to height of porous materials bushings B is within the range of optimum values (A=C)/B=1.5-2.5, and ratio of diameter "d" of inner bushing to diameter D of outer bushing made of porous material is within the range of optimum values d/D=0.3-0.7, and ratio of thickness "b" of bushings made of porous material to their height B is within the range of optimum values b/B=0.05-0.1.
EFFECT: improved efficiency of noise suppression.
