FIELD: military equipment, applicable at designing and modernization of tank guns with separate-loading ammunition.
SUBSTANCE: the high-power tank gun with separate-loading ammunition has a barrel and a wedge breechblock. An additional entry conical section is made in the barrel chamber, it is engageable with the driving band of the new high-power ammunition and shifted from the standard conical section closer to the muzzle end by a value making it possible to place an increased powder charge in the chamber.
EFFECT: provided use both of standard ammunition and of newly developed high-power ammunition, enhanced strength and survivability of the barrel and reduced gassing of the tank fighting compartment.
