FIELD: metal cutting processes and equipment, cylindrical and end milling cutters.
SUBSTANCE: milling cutter includes row of disc modules fit on sleeve and fixed against axial displacement and turning. Changeable polyhedral tips are mounted in each disc module along its periphery. In order to enhance operational efficiency due to improved uniformity of milling, each next disc module is mounted with possibility of rotation around center in one direction by angle relative to previous disc module while changeable polyhedral tips form technological helical line at inclination angle providing minimum non-uniformity of milling.
EFFECT: enhanced uniformity of milling by means of such milling cutter.
