FIELD: medical equipment, in particular, connectors for medical bottles.

SUBSTANCE: adapter fitting has needle-free valve, pointed cannula used for penetration through rubber plug for small-sized glass or plastic container, and round die with sharpened protrusions of various lengths for engagement with capping means having various diameters. Die has first set of sharpened protrusions and second set of sharpened protrusions arranged in alternation with sharpened protrusions of second set of protrusions. Each protrusion of second set of protrusions is made longer than protrusions of first set. Second set of protrusions are designed so that sharpened protrusions are declined and plastically deformed sideward when adapter fitting is engaged with small container exceeding predetermined size. Casing comprises housing having at least the same length as sharpened cannula to thereby prevent medical personnel using adapter fitting from unintended puncturing. Needle-free valve has plastically deformed piston member with normally open aperture. Internal cavity of piston enables flowing of liquid through fitting.

EFFECT: reduced risk of unintended puncturing of personnel.
