FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: method involves introducing photosensitizer into tumor tissue zone. Then, the tumor tissue is exposed to laser radiation acting in two wavelengths at the same time. The second wavelength is selected so that arterial blood plasma becomes saturated with oxygen. The tumor tissue zone temperature is increased to 42-43°C and the value is supported the whole irradiation period.
EFFECT: increased free oxygen concentration; stimulated singlet oxygen production in photodynamic reaction.
