FIELD: pharmacology; biotechnology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a photosensitizer based on chlorin e6 containing a europium compound as a phosphor. The photosensitizer is obtained by forming a conjugate containing europium(3+), chlorin e6, diethylenetriaminepentaacetic acid, folic acid, covalently bound with water-soluble 1-ethyl-3-(3-dimethylaminopropyl)carbodiimide (WSC), N-hydroxysuccinimide (NHS) on polyethyleneimine) and 4-dimethylaminopyridine (DMAP). At the same time, the conjugate additionally contains covalently bound citric acid, which is achieved by acylation at the final stage of free amino groups with an excess of citric acid activated by WSC, NHS and DMAP in distilled water.
EFFECT: increase of the selectivity of the accumulation of the drug in the tissues of malignant neoplasms by suppressing the positive charge of the conjugate, and therefore increasing the efficiency of the photosensitizer and minimizing damage to healthy tissues.
