FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: method involves determining relative accommodation reserve, anteroposterior eye axis length, habitual accommodation tonus, available pseudomyopia, astigmatism availability and type. Myopia occurrence probability is calculated from logistic regression formula p=1/(1-e-z), where e is the natural logarithm base (2.718). The p value being close to 0.5, myopia is to be predicted.
EFFECT: high accuracy of prognosis.
