SUBSTANCE: through a scleral tunnel one should remove a turbid crystalline lens to form outflow pathways for intraocular fluid. Moreover, it is necessary to apply an instrument that contains a body, a spring-controlled lever, a piston with a working part designed to cut tissues, a groove for piston's working part, a groove for capturing the tissues and a plunger with a working end where a capturing part in the form of a rectangular slot with sharpening at both mutually facing sides. The instrument should be guided into scleral tunnel and at its reverse motion a part of corneoscleral tissue enters the capturing part and it is necessary to cut it off with a piston's motion. The innovation provides decreased post-surgical astigmatism and reliable prophylaxis of increased intraocular pressure in remote post-surgical period.
EFFECT: higher efficiency of therapy.
