FIELD: product grinding equipment.

SUBSTANCE: cutting unit has knife with curved blades and grid formed as disk with holes. Knife is made two-bladed, with blades being crescent-shaped and having stream-lined section with internal cutting edges disposed on protrusions at side adjoining grid, said protrusions widening toward ends of blades. Holes of grid are shaped as three- and/or four-faced truncated pyramids oriented with their smaller bases toward knife and having rounded side faces making sides of holes. Holes are arranged on grid in the form of one or a number of concentric circles in such a manner that two adjacent sides defining cutting edges are inclined to cutting plane. One of said sides is oriented in helical line oriented toward center of grid while other of said sides is oriented in circular line, and two opposite sides having respective orientation are arranged relative to cutting plane at right angle or angle approximating right angle. In case three-faced holes are used, cutting side is side oriented in helical line.

EFFECT: increased efficiency and enhanced reliability in operation.
